I like to come to Celebration because it's different than most new cities - they tried to make a great place, but tonight as the fake show fell on the foam (simulated snow) on the main street, Janet had the best comment after our visit today:  " fake snow for a fake city."  It's a very appropriate comment.  Celebration is not a real city, it's a Disney city, and I wonder what the people who live here really think.  I've been here at least a half dozen different times, different times of the day, different days of the week, different weeks of the year, different months of the year.  It's always the same. Robert Stern spoke once and said the porches make the city, but in all of my visits, I've never seen anyone on the porches.  They are simply decorated spaces. They look nice  but they are no more real than this city is.  I will never return unless Calatravo does something here.

houses are really close in some cases
wonderful signage
where are the windows for the garage?
interesting lighting in a board on a walkway
interesting lighting in a board for path lighting
the porches are very inviting, and create a wonderful ambiance, but no one ever seems to be sitting on them
where's the windows?
I appreciated these brick planters in the middle of landscaping hedges.
porches seem to be nothing more than accessorized spaces.
alley way creates a road on two sides of the residences, the front and rear.
this is the nicest area, overlooking a pleasant pond with a beautiful path that connects directly to downtown Celebration.
1954 Cadillac, made the same year that I was!!!
main street before the foam.
Burton residence
crawl space grilles (actually decorative since the garage is beyond, with no crawl.)
close up of the crawl space grille
nice projection of the garage
nice picture framing
