Kioni to Big Vathi-Ithaca

we sailed over to a recommended secluded beach for lunch where a wonderful restaurant was said to be.  Upon arrival, and after several attempts to anchor properly, we finally were able to go ashore and hike up and down the mountain and across difficult paths to the restaurant.  Upon arrival, we were greeted by a  sign that said that there was one day per week that the restaurant was closed- the day we were there!!!  We hiked back up and down and across difficult paths in the reverse then had some good swimming.  We took the dinghy back to the boat and I spent the next half hour doing more exercise than I probably exert in a month trying to raise the forward anchor.  It felt like it weighed hundreds of pounds and raising every inch of rope and chain (about 50 feet total) was torture. Generally, once the anchor is free from the bottom the task of pulling in the anchor chain is easier, but on this sweltering day, retrieving each link of chain became a celebration followed by more effort to retrieve the next length.
