Nidri

We found the heat too much to bear and at the same time we bid good bye to Ian, our instructional skipper AND found a pool with a good bar, clean and modern bathrooms, a good restaurant and showers. therefore, while our flotilla sailed on to lesser ports, we elected to have a "vacation day" and stayed by the pool all day.  This "day off" from Flotilla regiment was greatly appreciated and justly earned.  Nidri is perhaps one of the least appealing ports on our trip, bordering on "carnival" in appearance, especially at night.  However, the pool worked for us, and we passed a wonderful day reading and napping.  I read Timequake by Kurt Vonegut his last book, and will miss reading his novels.
