is empty except for three people. One article that I read before this trip suggested
that one should resist any temptation to book first or premium first. It
appears that many people are figuring this out for themselves. The food was
good, but not exceptional. The service was outstanding because there was only three
of us. The only advantage was the access to the club lounge at the terminal and a
free taxi upon arrival. In conclusion, I would have to agree with the advice that I
read: "...skip the temptation for premium first..." Janet had suggested that we
only travel by Premium First in one direction and simply travel by First on the
return. I appreciate her wisdom and am glad that I took her advice. Perhaps on
the return trip I will be able to second the opinion to ..."skip the temptation to
travel first class.. ..."(I write the following portion as I sit in First Class on the return rip): The difference cannot be exactly compared because I am going in different directions. Premium First class from London To Paris and simply First class from Paris to London. The difference so far has been minimal except for access to the lounge. one cannot aces the lounge with simply a first class ticket without a membership. Our meal on this leg was as good or perhaps even better than on the incoming from London. The seating is exactly the same except for the logo over the headrest. I think that I would not suggest premium first class on this voyage when simple first class is as nice as it is. Don't be misled, it's not some great luxury, but nice. There are 11 people in our car on a train that seats 6 x four seaters and 13 x 2 two seaters plus 3 x four seaters for a total of 24 plus 26 plus 12 = 62 seats |

| We sat next to this lovely sculpture and were able to enjoy the pleasant waterfall sound of the water as it flowed from the mouths of the two fish and enjoy the detail in the carving, although we concluded that the material was a cast stone and not a carved limestone. |
