| Computer
equipment for Boundless. The Hinckley Company in Southwest Harbor, Maine is
ready to install my NavigatorPC equipment on Boundless. I have the
equipment in Michigan, so a quick flight to Maine and back is in
order. I estimated five hours from Pontiac, Michigan to Bar Harbor,
Maine. I estimated the same for the return trip. |

| Boundless!!!!
I have not seen her all winter. :(
It was nice to see her
again, but she's a mess!!! It actually took us quite a while to
locate her amongst the boats, finally, tucked way in the back, the last
possible location to look in-there she was!

| it breaks my
heart to see Boundless in such disrepair. However, I know that the
deconstruction is necessary to run the wires for the new satellite TV
(KVH) system and the new Navigator PC marine computer system. |

| This is where the
microwave goes. This had to be removed because the rf mouse/keyboard
receiver goes here. This location is centrally located, therefore,
the keyboard/mouse can be used from anywhere on the boat. The micro
will be gently reinstalled after the rf receiver is wired. |

that discovery made the trip worth it. |

| Wheels off of
the Pontiac, Michigan runway at 8:00 am, Saturday May 4th, 2002, and at
11:30pm the same day, wheels touched down on that same runway. ten
hours of tach time total, and a wonderful afternoon spent in Southwest
Harbor, Maine. |
| I had planned to
fly over the harbor and take some pictures, either on arrival or
departure, but the last half hour of flight on arrival and the first half
hour of flight on departure was way too turbulent. I didn't feel
comfortable flying and taking pictures, plus, I really wanted to get away
from the rough stuff. The flight was uneventful and calm except for
one error on my part. Severe Clear skies and calm winds was the norm
except for the part around Bar Harbor, Maine. I announced my intentions
upon arrival to Bar Harbor Traffic, and indicated my position (Base,
Final) for the active runway (35). However, I ended up doing a
crosswind landing on runway 4. I didn't notice my error
until I was near the end of the runway on approach, and since there
was no other traffic in the area, and I really wanted to get those wheels
on the runway, I didn't do a "go around." |
